BIPV Facade Systems

Powerglass COM series products are architectural CdTe BIPV glazing systems for commercial facades, spandrel, curtain wall, skylight, railing, and structural glass applications. The system is specified as an exterior envelope material substitution, not a separate solar add-on.

Product selection depends on transparency, colour, structure, facade zone, Canadian climate conditions, safety requirements, and project-specific energy modelling. Pricing and detailed specifications are provided after consultation.

Envelope & Generation

Specified to replace conventional exterior envelope scopes, aligning solar investment with an existing facade budget. Daylight-exposed surfaces are modelled for on-site generation using project orientation, area, climate data, and product mix.

Canadian Code & Safety

Facade zone, wind, thermal performance, condensation, drainage, snow and ice, and electrical integration are reviewed for Canadian conditions. Glass build-up, attachment, routing, access, fire separation, guard use, and AHJ requirements are checked against the project code path.

End-of-Life Planning

Specification review can include end-of-life handling and recycling pathways for glass, laminate, frame, wiring, and electrical components where available.

Custom cell density and architect-led facade engineering available on request — request a consultation.
